I made this platform to discuss and talk about topical discussions regarding our environment as well as to provide nuance to our discussions, glossing over motivations and consequences (Both Positive and Negative!) for why we do, what we do.

My Name is Matthew Wood
I am a 24 year old Geography teacher from London with an MSc in Environmental Sustainability.
Environmentallysober is a young platform created to expose and discuss environmentally-centric, conversations that are evidence-informed and with good intentions at bay.
Environmentalism is a growing movement, however, it can only continue to expand when motivations and nuances are considered when looking at environmental concerns. The importance of social and economic discussions are also key principles that have to be addressed, without it the movement lacks true sustainability in people moving the movement forward. After all, you can’t have electric cars without lithium batteries, pollination without bees and crops without farmers. We need each other.
That’s why this website was born
Objectivity and empathy are at the heart of Environmentallysober, looking at the three pillars of sustainability.
